We just got the Nokia 5.3 that is pretty sleek device and can’t wait to take it out of the box, try it out and we will give you our review plus experience on the new Nokia Smartphone recently launched that is retailing from KES 23,000 across retail shops in Kenya.
The phone is latest that HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones has launched into the market is the Nokia 5 series, this smartphone is the upgrade from Nokia 5.1 plus. The Nokia 5.3 comes with a bigger screen so we are definitely going to try and watch some movies on the phone plus gaming.
For the review we are also going to test the battery power. The box says it comes with 2 day battery life…we will definitely take it for a spin and utilise it and get back to you if this is for real. The smartphone is also mentioned to have Advanced AI Imaging, we will also get back to you on that as we look to take some videos and pictures with the phone. Let’s see how the phone performs in different light exposures.
The Nokia 5.3 we got comes in the Cyan color making it look pretty sleek, a good thing HMD Global did with packaging this phone is that it comes with a clear phone cover. That is super helpful, considering we were about to go online to order a cover, the beauty of convenient online shopping in Nairobi.
The ear phones out of the box are pretty standard, the charger is three pin with a detachable cable so one can charge the phone from my laptop if need be, however we hope that the 2 day battery comes alive which comes in handy for daily use.
The next three weeks we shall deep dive in what the Nokia 5.3 smartphone has to offer and if it is worth it at this price point. Nokia smartphones have really evolved and we are just glad that they are on Android OS. Speaking of OS, the box says that the Nokia 5.3 will have 2 years of Android updates, so the phone is definitely going to get the Android 11 once that is out.
The phone also comes with a dedicated Google Assistant Button which are definitely going to try out and see if it works and the phone has a fingerprint sensor on rear. The Nokia 5.3 has 64GB internal storage and 3GB of RAM, we try to pack as much as possible and tell you how it holds up.
